Jeju: The flyby

My Jeju experience
certainly didn't do the island justice,
but I did go there so...
done and done.

Someday I will return,
with my love on my arm
and experience the real Jeju.
The Ferry from Busan
A bunk room for 6 is just right.
Early morning arrival
Logs chinked for homes, something only an Alaskan might love.

The seawalk
Remote office
Jeju, just a stepping stone to Marado

Things Heat Up

Babies First Emergency Room

On Tuesday, after running a fever between 102-104 for three days,
I could feel my eyes and brain beginning to cook,
my body felt like it had every ounce of liquid squeezed out of it.
Plus, I hadn't been able to eat or drink in days.
The next stop on the train was most certainly kidney failure.
I called my head teacher and said,
"Help."
Babies first IV, that she remembers.
30 Minutes later I was plugged into IV's as they nervously tried to bring down my fever.  It took two rounds of treatments and lots of supplements before my body felt inclined to listen.

After that I was admitted for 22 hours of IV's.

It's ALIVE!!!
My lungs were solid white masses on the x-rays.
I had both a viral and fungal infection in my lungs.
They sounded like rice krispies.

Snap. Crackle. Pop.

However, thanks to Korean health care
the entire crisis was only physically terrifying...
not financially.

The First Goodbye Is The Deepest

It was a day of long slow steps
that we will each remember
through unique filters
of time and experience.
Our paths now diverge
and we fall away
with one long goodbye.

And this is why I don't like to say,
"Goodbye"
but instead,
"Until we meet again."

Hooker or Teacher: You Be The Judge

This week numerous tight, short items were purchased
and a decision was made.
See how short and tight one can dress
before they are sent home to change.

Trial One: A skin tight "dress" I though might be a long t-shirt.
Boss's Response:  "Wow, you look so beautiful!!!"

Not really what I had expected.

Shots

Ben is my everyday hero.
Once again he swept us off for a wild adventure
all hosted and planned by his former employer.

We went to a theme park, although I'm not sure the theme,
where we got to make things, ride things, shoot things.

Traditional craft of your choice.
My little bundle of joy
The lamp section
A baby zip line, but people were actually scared.  I got to zip upside down though :)
This is why I came.
