Thankful For Friends In Distant Places

Thank you Lisa and Steph. The hostesses with the most-esses.
I returned to the old set of my drama
to celebrate a little holiday cheer.
It was wonderful to see the old faces,
and re-tell the stories of old Anjung

There is nothing that makes me feel happier
then great food,
old friends,
and having a laugh
at my own expense.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!

Made with love.
Ready - Set - Go
The old characters were up to their old antics.
It was a truly multicultural event.
Dinner had all the fix'ns
Everyone was filled with smiles.

Just a Barbie girl living in a Barbie world.

There's a place in Sokcho where ex-pats and locals unite for mayhem.
Especially on Holidays.

Despite the fact I didn't spend a whole lot of time at Min's when I actually lived in Sokcho, its become my festive destination of choice.  I've grown increasingly fond of this quirky outpost and its charming patrons so it's always worth every minute of the long commute across half the country.

Why make such a journey?  Because Min's has got that down home feel.
In short- it's quirky, it's crazy and you never know what might happen.
However, the one thing I'm certain of is that I'll be welcome and included in all the unexpected fun, even when I haven't been home in quite a while.

So - Come on Barbie, let's go party!

Through The Looking Glass

It always feels like I've stepped through a magical door when I go home to Sokcho.
While researching Korea I knew Sokcho must be special,
but I never really found anything that did it justice.

People don't seem to realize it's just dreamy here.

The lake walk in fall.

My favorite part of Sokcho, the people.

It's always a good idea to play in the park.

Natural beauty every which way you look, even in the tiniest places.

Shots

Ben is my everyday hero.
Once again he swept us off for a wild adventure
all hosted and planned by his former employer.

We went to a theme park, although I'm not sure the theme,
where we got to make things, ride things, shoot things.

Traditional craft of your choice.
My little bundle of joy
The lamp section
A baby zip line, but people were actually scared.  I got to zip upside down though :)
This is why I came.
