Noshing On Love

The key to my happiness:
a family that goes above and beyond.
They don't just send a few emails,
they make me a part of daily life.

For example,
this morning I awoke to a grand feast
and a seat at the Thanksgiving table.

They scooped me a big plate,
we told family stories,
played practical jokes
- in short -
we were a family.

It didn't matter that all I actually consumed was my morning coffee.
The time with my family was the nourishment I need.

Thankful For Friends In Distant Places

Thank you Lisa and Steph. The hostesses with the most-esses.
I returned to the old set of my drama
to celebrate a little holiday cheer.
It was wonderful to see the old faces,
and re-tell the stories of old Anjung

There is nothing that makes me feel happier
then great food,
old friends,
and having a laugh
at my own expense.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!

Made with love.
Ready - Set - Go
The old characters were up to their old antics.
It was a truly multicultural event.
Dinner had all the fix'ns
Everyone was filled with smiles.

A Lonely Island Thaigiving

Old Family
New Family
It's All About Moderation

The feast
Bartenders in Actions
Yup, even classy on the holidaze.

Do the "Creep"

"I don't know what but I think I'm going to have a great day..."

B-moves in the living room
"Now back to the good part"

Thaigiving is the new Thanksgiving

For the oven-less foreigner,
the holidays get a bit more creative.
So this year we decided to celebrate with fusion Thai food.

The Thai Giving Menu:
Thai Cucumber Salad
Chicken & Tofu Satay with Peanut Sauce
Tom Kai Gah
Swimming Rama
Pumpkin Walnut Chicken Curry
Cherry Pie

It was magical
and it made us Creep.

(Thank you Rebeqa, Crystal, Alyssa, Landino, Steph, Lisa, and Norma Jean.)

Put A Fork In It

Norma Jean, all growed up.
Thanksgiving came on November 5th this year,
Right between the US and Canadian options,
and it included all the important parts
like NJ's magical first turkey.

At this point I've spent more holidays outside of The States
than I can actually count and I've loved each and every one.

This time around I reveled in the fact I was just a guest -
not the ring leader and not the facilitator.
I was just the half-drunk girl in charge of mashed potatoes.
