Swimming With The Fishes

Babbie and Megan
took me to a magical place,
hidden next to North Korea,
where you can forget your troubles
and dive off rocks into the sea.

Days are meant to be wasted in places like this.

Ride the Ducks

Living in the country has many perks.
Long summer bike rides
and cool lakes,
being two of my favorite.

Today I indulged in both of them.
A quick ride to the lake turned into an afternoon swim.
Drinking Hite with Mongolian exchange students camping at the lake.

Ben hadn't planned on a swim, but he was very good natured about it.
Ride the ducks - Pyeongtaek style.

For many Seoul is the destination
but I sunshine on rice fields.
The glow of green.
The lines that show my future.

Biting Ones Tale

It's a strange thing,
to share this Korean experience
with a girl I held in my arms when she was born
as she, herself, nurtures a new life.

 And by strange,
I mean beautiful and synergistic.

It makes life feel complete,
when it circles
and twists
and weaves
together.

Shirt or Dress

I continue to ask myself,
are they shirts or are they dresses?

The only conclusion I've come to
is that it doesn't really matter.

Childrens' Day

In Korea there is a holiday just for children.
The school hired an organizer,
we just followed along.
It was delightful.
