Insignificance is Relative

Don't walk past what you find beautiful,
simply because you fear it's insignificance.
You are not less of a person
if you are the only one to see the beauty.

Love what you love.
Celebrate what you find enchanting.

There are no right answers to loveliness.
It is enough to love it as it is all alone.

Perfect, Just As It Is

Beautiful things are everywhere, just waiting to be found.

But I've always loved the lost, broken things the best.
Just ask the Hairi-bou.

You Are Not Lost, Just Besotten

With your dignity in tact,
you lay in waste.

You have set aside your hope,
but grace you've not forsaken.

Somewhere someone watches,
holding onto hope for you.

Waiting for you to find the stamina,
to walk a while more.

Big Dreams and Forgotten Things

 In piles and remnants,
that often pass unknown,
there is a documentation
of dreams and hopes
of loves and of loses.

They are fruition.
They are abandonment.
The are hope that it might end well,
not today,
but tomorrow or tomorrow or tomorrow.

Write Away

I knew who I was at 21, but I can't say I knew what I wanted.
Somehow, along the way, while searching for what I wanted,
I let myself be convinced I wasn't who I am.

"Priority Blocks", Lanae Rivers-Woods 2009

So I wrote it all down on thin little pages
and I drew it all down on solid wood blocks.

And I re-read my words and I shuffled my vision
and when I found my direction I realized I was lost.

So, without delay or hesitation, I got down too business write away.
There is not time to waste, it's time to put my life in order the right way.
