Through The Looking Glass

It always feels like I've stepped through a magical door when I go home to Sokcho.
While researching Korea I knew Sokcho must be special,
but I never really found anything that did it justice.

People don't seem to realize it's just dreamy here.

The lake walk in fall.

My favorite part of Sokcho, the people.

It's always a good idea to play in the park.

Natural beauty every which way you look, even in the tiniest places.

Soju Come Here Often?

Homemade soju "glasses"
 B and I believe deeply
that one should always keep it classy.
However, sometimes drastic times call for drastic meaures.

Hari-bou hasn't talked to me in ages
and ZX is trapped in Italy.
Obviously it's time to get our Seoul on.
Drunk'n and disorderly.  I'm taking you in.
Salsa dancing, of course we don't know how.
It was the salsa clubs two year anniversary - rice cakes for everyone.
Somehow we ended up at a hooka bar in a basement.

It was epic, it was random.
It was what friendship is all about.

It's The End of The World as We Know It And I Feel Fine

I came because it wanted to understand.

A fine way to start the day.
It became a part of me because it smelled of flowers
and felt like silk caught blowing in a soft breeze.

Delicate flowers everywhere.
It is a little different though.
Like standing on the edge of the world

 But there it is.
So close it feels like you could touch it...

North Korea
 Hidden on every hilltop,
parked around every corner,
buried in every mountain,
are reminders that this place
is a weapon covered in wildflowers.

No beach access here.
Hilltop hideaway
Sea Wall / Gunning Station
One can't help but think the world is
a beautiful
fragile place
that needs all the love it can muster.
